Now, that we start to understand SAP screen and menu, let’s talk a little bit about some useful tricks.

First of all, none of you will use more than, let’s say, 40- 50 transactions and reports. And maybe 10 of them usually. So, we need to remember SAP transaction code (Tcode) for those witch we don’t use it on a daily base.

Maybe we have an elephant memory, and memorize 50 TCodes it’s not a problem (even so, let’s try to imagine 20 of them in format S_ALR_87099918 and we have a big issue).

Or maybe you are an old school and use a pen and a paper (but it’s not so easy to find something).

The easy way, for me, it’s to use favorites. We have, into menu, an area fully customable, where we may save favorite Tcodes.

Here we may add any Tcode and we may organize into folders and subfolders.

To add here a favorite, we may use

Right click

And we may insert a folder, a Tcode or other object. Yes, we may add a web address, or email, or… almost anything who exist online.

You may organize favorites by drag&drop, or using shortcuts.

Shortcuts for editing favorites are:

  • Add favorite;
  • Delete favorite;
  • Edit favorite. Here you may edit only description;
  • Move favorite up/down.
  • Add favorite;
  • Delete favorite;
  • Edit favorite. Here you may edit only description;
  • Move favorite up/down.

Also, if you navigate into SAP Menu and find a Tcode witch you may want to add to favorites, it’s not necessary to memorize it and add it as I say early. You simple right click on it and “add to favorites”

Thank you and keep in touch.

Do not forget to let me know if you need something specific (I will try to discuss it before my agenda) and do not forget to hit “Donate” button 😉
